St. Patrick's Day Parade

We went to the annual St. Patrick's Day parade yesterday. It was basically like Mardi Gras but more green, Irish, etc. A friend from Tulane Law who is married and has two boys threw a very kid friendly party at his house right on the route. Several other older law students showed up as well.
Elodie was a magnet for "throws" and her favorite was a huge bear. The traditional throws also included cabbage and potatoes, which revelers would gather and then cook afterwards. So after cheering on the parade for an hour and a half, all the edible produce went into a pot. We then had corned beef with vegetables, to celebrate Stacie and Elodie's Irish heritage.
I had a wonderful time because spring break has finally come and I can actually spend some time with the family. Stacie is still getting some headaches from the pregnancy but it has been better of late. She definitely has a belly now, so things are progressing. Happy St. Patty's Day.
